1)INTERSET TERMINAL

Interset - International Car Terminal of Setúbal, S.A - a sister company of the Navigomes Group and the managing entity of bonded car depots, recently inaugurated its universal vehicle terminal last October.

This 200.000 m2 terminal offers excellent access routes as well as the most modern technical and operational means of pre-delivery inspection and mechanical/ electrical interventions. Additionally, it offers equipment for body repair and paint services, all of which help to guarantee the highest quality levels in these areas.

2)SC & RA MEMBERSHIP

In September of 2000, Navigomes became the first ever Portuguese member of the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association, an organisation which tirelessly works to represent the transportation industry before regulators at the state and federal levels in the United States. At present, SC & RA comprises well over 1000 members in 43 countries across six continents.

FUTURE PROJECTS

1)A FLYING CRANE FOR TRANSPORTING CARGO

Almost 70 years after the disappearance of the first zeppelins, Navigomes prepares to reintroduce them in Portugal, this after reaching a representative agreement with the German company Cargolifter, which is currently planning to develop a fleet of 200 airships to act as flying cranes in order to transport overweight and oversized cargo.

2)PORT CONCESSIONS

The Navigomes Group, given its relevancy as the Port of Setúbal`s principal operator since it accounts for 60% of all general cargo traffic and 90% of all Ro/Ro transports, prepares itself to participate in the upcoming 2001 port concessions, believing that it can legitimately achieve a favourable outcome.
