Navigomes regularly transports abnormal loads. Recently it was awarded the transport of a radiant module, which although not particularly large (15,24 x 5,27 x 5,24M / 50 tons), had to be picked up ex works in northern Portugal and delivered in a refinery in Boussens, Midi-Pyrenées, France.

More than one company stated that transport was impossible due to the height of module and the narrow country and village roads on the way to site.

After thorough studies, Navigomes has committed with client to perform transport within the requested, narrow time-schedule. For that purpose equipment was collected at manufacturer’s site and placed on board a chartered coaster that performed the ocean transportation from Leixões to Blaye, near Bordeaux; then, module was loaded on a truck and continued its journey through 350 Kms in beautiful Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrenées regions, arriving safely at destination. The ‘’impossible’’ was made possible!
