TRANSFORMERS TO USA AND IRAN
TRANSGERMA Riedl & Kiehntopf GmbH regularly is shipping large transformers for German manufacturers to USA. The individual ports of entry are at the East coast, the Gulf area and at the West coast. The ocean freights are being done with H/L lelf geared vessels, RO/RO or with LASH barges. Usually the on-carriage to the sub-stations are part of the contracts and also placing onto foundations. The on-carriage from the ports of entry are being performed by either specialised road transportation or by rail, depending on the technical possibilities. The placing onto foundations usually is being done by means of hydraulic skidding over specially designed beam systems.


Currently we are shipping a serie of transformers weighing approx. 125 to to Iran. This contract includes on-carriage from Bandar Abbas port to the individual destinations and skidding onto foundation.
