The second machine came from South Germany, (the manufacturer being Herrenknecht), and UTT arranged and supervised the transport from Barcelona port to Badalona, another Barcelona suburb due north of the Port. In this case the cargo came in one heavy-lift vessel which was discharged in 30 hours from arrival. This time there were 27 loads and 1600 tons, the heaviest being “only” 213 tons this time. The widest loads were again well over 7 meters and the final access to site in this very tight city area was quite a challenge. Vessel docked on the Monday lunchtime and all cargo was delivered by the early hours of the Friday to a very satisfied receiver.
