Flat, powerful and flexible, these are the major characteristics of the latest development of SCHEUERLE located in Pfedelbach/Germany. The FLAT COMBI is a particularly low version of the time-proven INTER COMBI platform trailer. Its driving height in central position is only 1.030 mm and the axle compensation is 500 mm.

The FLAT COMBI is available with a width of 3,0 m or 2,75 m. The hydraulically supported and steered pendulum axles are designed for a max. axle load of 23 tons per axle line. Bogies having two to six axle lines are available; they are capable of being coupled with bogies of the INTER COMBI and EURO COMBI series. The major features and advantages for heavy-duty transport companies are:

As occasion demands, the units can be combined with a wide range of low bed decks, boiler decks, frame decks, excavator decks and multi-functional schnable loading decks as well as long material transport bolsters with automatic steering and additional accessories. Combinations suitable for payload capacities exceeding 700 tons can be configured by longitudinal and side-by-side coupling of the single bogies.

The technical design of the goosenecks has been optimised and the operating comfort has been improved. The goosenecks are available in two versions; first as articulated gooseneck for direct connection to the bogies and second as universal combi gooseneck with bolt coupling for the bogies and an additional hook accommodation provision for the
loading decks.

The first combination of new FLAT COMBI units was sold to Messrs. Brandt Krane und Schwertransporte located in Berlin via our partners Nooteboom. This 13-axle combination consists of one 2-axle, one 3-axle and two 4-axle bogies. Two universal combi goosenecks having a fifth wheel load of 30 tons each as well as drawbars make the connection to the truck tractor. The combination is provided with the following load carrying equipment:

* one telescopic excavator deck having a payload capacity of 100 tons
* one flat bed deck having a height of only 230 mm and a pay-load
* capacity of 100 tons
* two turn bolsters having a payload capacity of 100 tons each
* one telescopic boiler deck having a payload capacity of 120 tons;
* width of boiler deck extendible

This scope of supply ensures extensive combination possibilities and covers - with more than 70 feasible combinations - nearly every case of application up to a max. payload capacity of approx. 250 tons.
